The Marriage Protection Amendment, which would legally define marriage as the exclusive relationship between one man and one woman, has been reintroduced in the U.S. Senate by Senator Roger Wicker…but he needs other senators to co-sponsor the bill for this critical legislation to move forward.
That’s where you can help! Please contact your two U.S. Senators today and ask them to support the Marriage Protection Amendment by co-sponsoring this federal constitutional amendment. To find your senators’ contact information, go to www.senate.gov, choose your state from the list in the upper right corner and then click on your senators' names. You will be taken to their individual websites where you can find all their contact information.
To help you understand why this is such a crucial issue, the National Coalition has produced a booklet titled Why is Marriage Important? A Reasonable Defense of Marriage, which provides sound arguments in favor of marriage between one man and one woman. We encourage you to take or send this booklet to the district offices of your U.S. Senators, with a note attached that respectfully requests them to support the Federal Marriage Amendment by co-sponsoring the legislation.
